Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Neijiang City is located in the southeastern part of Sichuan Province, China, in the middle of the lower reaches of the Tuojiang River, and is an important node city of the Twin Cities Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area. As the eastern gateway of Sichuan, Neijiang is known as the "Sweet City" and is historically famous for its sugar production. The city has a total area of about 5,386 square kilometers and a resident population of about 3 million. Neijiang has a long history and is the hometown of Jang Hong, the teacher of Confucius, and Zhang Daqian, the master of Chinese painting.
Economically, Neijiang is dominated by agriculture, manufacturing and modern service industries, and in recent years has focused on the development of new materials, equipment manufacturing and other industries. Transportation is convenient, with the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, high-speed railroads and several expressways running through the whole territory. Rich in tourism resources, it boasts historical and cultural attractions such as Longchang Stone Pavilion and Zizhong Ancient City, as well as natural landscapes such as Weiyuan Slate River Scenic Spot. Neijiang is also famous for its specialties, such as beef noodles and sweet-skinned duck, which attract many tourists.
