Seaford is a historic town on the Nanticoke River in Sussex County, Delaware, USA, about 120 kilometers from the capital city of Dover and within the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. Founded in 1638, it was once a trading post during the Dutch colonial period, and retains a wealth of colonial architecture and industrial relics, such as the former site of a 19th century textile mill. The economy of the town is mainly based on agriculture and manufacturing, but in recent years, it has gradually developed the leisure and tourism industry based on the geographical advantage of its proximity to the coast. With a population of about 8,000, the town has a peaceful community atmosphere and a blend of natural landscape and human history, making it suitable for residents and tourists looking for a slower life.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
