Saranda is an important port city and tourist resort in southern Albania, situated on the Ionian coast, across the sea from the Greek island of Corfu, known as the "Gateway to the Adriatic". The city has long golden beaches and clear turquoise waters, the most famous "Monkey Beach" and "Cold Springs Beach" attract many tourists. The city is surrounded by a wealth of historical sites, with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint only 15 minutes away, and the ruins of the ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine periods tell the story of a thousand years of civilization. Combining the romance of the Mediterranean with the warmth of the Balkans, Saranda is an ideal starting point for exploring Albania's nature and culture, with local seafood restaurants offering fresh food at affordable prices, and is particularly popular with European backpackers.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
