Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. It is known for its coffee farming, surrounded by terraced fields that produce Timor-Leste's premium Arabica coffee beans. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty and close to Mount Ramelau, Timor-Leste's highest peak, making it a stopover for hiking enthusiasts. Fang County is located in the northwestern part of Hubei Province of China, belonging to Shiyan Municipality, and is situated in the eastern part of the Qinba Mountainous Region, which is a county-level administrative region with a predominantly mountainous terrain. The county has a long history and was known as "Fangling" in ancient times. It is one of the birthplaces of the Chu culture and has a history of more than 2,000 years. Famous for its unique natural landscape and human resources, Fang County has part of the Shennongjia Forestry Area within its territory, which has an excellent ecological environment and high forest coverage.
Economically, Fang County is based on agriculture, and its specialty industries include the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs (e.g. Huanglian, Tianma), edible mushroom production and eco-tourism. The local traditional food "Fangxian Yellow Wine" has been listed as a national geographical indication product. In terms of transportation, Fangxian County is connected to neighboring cities via the G209 National Highway and the Ma'an Expressway, and the infrastructure has been improved in recent years, which has boosted regional economic development and tourism.
