Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
Taimali is located in the northeastern part of Taitung County, Taiwan Province of China, facing the Pacific Ocean to the east, and is an important township on the Nanhui Highway. It is famous for its stunning sunrise view, known as the "Township of the Rising Sun", and attracts a large number of tourists on New Year's Day every year to greet the first dawn on Taiwan's main island.
Taimali is home to such well-known attractions as the Golden Needle Mountain Recreation Area and the Millennium Dawn Memorial Park, and the sea of golden needles that fills the mountains in summer is particularly spectacular. The coastline is long and includes coastal landscapes such as Huayuan Bay and Doryang Tourist Station, while preserving the cultural traditions of the Paiwan aboriginal people, making it an area characterized by both nature and culture.
The area is rich in agricultural products such as saga, golden needles, loquats, etc., and is especially famous for Taimali saga. The climate is conducive to the growth of crops, and the combination of agriculture and tourism has become an important economic model for the region, with the annual Golden Needle Flowering Season effectively boosting the development of the local industry.
