Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
Located in the northern part of Pingtung County, Taiwan Province of China, Linluo is one of the townships with the highest percentage of Hakka settlements in Taiwan. It is bordered by Neipu Township to the east and Changzhi Township to the west, with a total area of 16.26 square kilometers and a population of about 11,000 people. The name Linluo originated from the phonetic translation of the Pingpu tribe's "Linluo" community. Linluo Village was established during the Japanese colonial period and was changed to Linluo Township in 1946.
Linluo's main industry is agriculture, producing cash crops such as lotus fog, bananas and betel nuts, among which "Linluo Lotus Fog" is famous for its high quality throughout Taiwan. The area retains a strong Hakka cultural tradition, and Hakka cultural festivals are held annually. In terms of transportation, Taiwan Line 1 runs through the whole area, and it takes about 15 minutes to drive from Pingtung City and 40 minutes to drive from Kaohsiung City.
Important facilities in Linluo include the Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park, the Experimental Forestry Farm of the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, and the Linluo Bicycle and Railroad Park, the only railroad-themed sports park in Taiwan. The park utilizes the old railway tracks of the Pingtung Line of Taiwan Railway and has become a unique landmark that combines historical memory and recreational functions.
