It is known for its natural beauty and high quality of life and is one of the high-end residential areas in the Zurich metropolitan area. With a population of around 6,000, the neighborhood is safe and educationally rich, attracting many families and international residents.
The economy of Rüssikon is dominated by the service and technology industries, and is best known as the home of the IBM research labs, which have a long history of promoting innovation in artificial intelligence and computer science.
