Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Shaodong City is located in the east-central part of Hunan Province, China, and is a county-level city under the administration of Shaoyang City, located in the hinterland of central Hunan. It has a total area of 1,778 square kilometers and a resident population of about 900,000 people. As a national important commodity distribution center and a strong industrial county, Shaodong is known as the "City of Commerce", the "Capital of Bags" and the "Hometown of Lighters".
Shaodong has the largest wholesale market of small commodities in the south-central region, and the production of hardware tools, lighters and bags accounts for an important share of the world. 2022 GDP exceeds 70 billion yuan, and the activity of the private economy ranks the forefront in Hunan Province, which has already formed the cluster development mode of "small commodities, big industries".
