Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. Dingzhou, a county-level city in Baoding, Hebei Province, is located in the western part of the North China Plain, an important node city of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development, known as the "throat of the Nine States" and "the old capital of Zhongshan". Historically, it was the capital of Zhongshan State during the Warring States period, with a rich cultural heritage, with the Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda (China's highest surviving brick tower), Dingzhou Gongyuan (the only examination hall in the northern part of the Qing Dynasty) and other national cultural heritage units, it is a national historical and cultural city.
