Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Jianghan is not an independent city, but refers to the Jianghan Plain and the surrounding area in central Hubei Province, covering parts of the jurisdictions of the cities of Wuhan, Jingzhou and Xiantao. The region, named after the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers, is an important agricultural production area and economic hinterland in China.
As the core alluvial plain in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the Jianghan Plain, with its well-developed water system and fertile land, is known as the "land of fish and rice". It is the core area of Hubei's "Province of a Thousand Lakes" landscape, with well-developed modern agriculture and aquaculture. Economically, Wuhan City Circle is the engine of the city, covering automobile manufacturing, electronic information, biomedicine and other industrial clusters.
The region is steeped in Chu culture, with historical landmarks such as the Ancient City of Jingzhou and the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan dotting the landscape. As a transportation hub in central China, it has multi-dimensional transportation networks such as Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and Shanghai-Chengdu High Speed Railway, and the golden waterway of the Yangtze River runs through the whole territory, forming a three-dimensional transportation pattern of water, land and air.
