Puerto Rondón is a border port city in the Department of Arauca, Colombia, located along the Orinoco River in the northeast of the country, near the Venezuelan border. The city is an important river transport hub and trade center for the Los Llanos Orientales region of Colombia.
The Port of Rondón is located on the main navigation route of the Orinoco River and serves as a cross-border trade and transportation hub between Colombia and Venezuela. The economy is based on agriculture, animal husbandry and river logistics, and the surrounding area is rich in rice, corn and other crops, as well as an important cattle breeding area in Colombia.
The region has a savanna climate with a unique plains ecosystem. Puerto Rondón has preserved the traditional culture of the eastern plains of Colombia, with the local people living a cowboy (llaneros) lifestyle and organizing annual festivals showcasing traditional music, dance and horsemanship.
As a border port city, Puerto Rondón is connected to the interior of Colombia and the Venezuelan border by river and highway. In recent years, the city has been enhancing its status as a regional logistics hub as part of the development program for the eastern region of Colombia.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
