The climate is mild, the fertile volcanic soil produces world-renowned high-quality coffee, and the estates and greenery are dotted with an idyllic atmosphere. The town's Iglesia de San Lázaro is a gem of colonial architecture, with its rustic stone walls and colorful frescoes telling the story. As the gateway to popular destinations such as Irazú and Poas volcanoes, Paraíso retains a traditional Costa Rican atmosphere and attracts visitors with its eco-tourism and coffee culture, making it an excellent place to experience the "Switzerland of Central America" where nature meets humanity.
