Located in northern Utah, in Utah County, Orem is one of the core cities of the Provo-Orem metropolitan area, with a population of approximately 110,000, making it the fifth largest city in Utah. Known for its "family-friendly" and "high quality of life," the city is located near Brigham Young University and is known as an important part of the "Silicon Mountain" area, where a strong academic atmosphere is intertwined with an atmosphere of technology and innovation, which has spawned a number of technology startups. Adrar is the capital of Adrar Province in southwestern Algeria, located in the hinterland of the Sahara Desert, making it an important desert oasis city in Algeria. The city is known for its ancient kasbah architecture and traditional adobe dwellings, reflecting a typical Saharan architectural style.
Adrar is located in the northern part of the Sahara Desert, with an average altitude of 280 meters above sea level and an extreme continental desert climate. The maximum temperature in summer can reach 50°C, and the temperature difference between day and night is significant in winter. The city is surrounded by several oases and relies on groundwater systems (such as foggaras, a traditional irrigation technique) to sustain its agricultural activities, which mainly involve the cultivation of dates, cereals and vegetables.
