Regional overview of the northern Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Territory located in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and consists of Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Among them, Grand Cayman's northern region is centered on Seven Mile Beach, north of George Town, which is world-renowned for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, and is one of the most famous tourist resorts in the Caribbean.

Major Cities and Features

The West Bay area in the northern part of Grand Cayman is the most developed area and is dotted with luxury resorts, high-end restaurants and water sports centers. Known for its calm coral waters and rich marine ecology, the area is particularly well suited for snorkeling and diving activities. The northern end of the area is also home to traditional fishing villages where visitors can experience the local Kamana culture.

Economy and Transportation

As one of the world's leading offshore financial centers, the northern region of the Cayman Islands is home to a large number of international banks and financial institutions. In terms of transportation, Owen Roberts International Airport is located in the center of Grand Cayman, providing quick access to major attractions to the north. There is an excellent network of highways around the island and a car rental is an ideal way to explore the northern coastline.

Overview of Sao Tome and Principe (note on "Java")

São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
