Covering the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Western Canada is one of the most vibrant regions in North America. Vancouver, the gateway to the West Coast, is known for its mountainous and multicultural cityscape; Calgary, with its energy industry and gateway to the Rocky Mountains, has become a center of economic and outdoor adventure; and Edmonton attracts visitors with its "Festival Capital of North America" and North America's largest shopping mall. Natural treasures such as Banff National Park and Jasper National Park are located here, where glaciers, lakes and forests are intertwined, while Vancouver's Technology Corridor and Calgary's Energy Cluster drive the innovation economy. Aboriginal cultures and immigrant traditions mingle to create a uniquely inclusive atmosphere, making it an ideal place to experience Canada's natural and urban charms.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
