Jajang (Korean: 부전, transcription: Bujon) is a county in South Hamgyong Province of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, located in the southern foothills of the Gae Ma Plateau in the Jajang Ridge mountain range region, and is named after its proximity to the famous Jajang Ridge. The area is characterized by mountainous terrain, rich forest resources and a continental monsoon climate with long, cold winters and short, cool summers.
