Located in the southeastern part of China's Yunnan Province, Mile City is part of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture and is a tourist city famous for its hot springs, red wine and ethnic culture. The name of the city is derived from the Buddhist word "Maitreya Buddha", which means good fortune and peace.

Natural and Human Characteristics

Mile is blessed with natural conditions, rich geothermal resources and several natural hot spring resorts.
