Masalani is a border town in Garissa County in northeastern Kenya, bordering Somalia and located in the arid and semi-arid Horn of Africa, and is an important economic and cultural node for the local community. The residents are predominantly Somali and Turkana, with traditional animal husbandry (camel, goat, sheep) as the mainstay industry, and most of the residents rely on pasture for their nomadic life.
