Marinilla is a municipality in the eastern part of the Department of Antioquia, Colombia, located about 45 kilometers northeast of Medellín, the capital of Antioquia. Founded in 1690, the municipality is located at an altitude of about 2,120 meters above sea level and has a mild and pleasant climate, with an average annual temperature of about 18°C. The municipality is located in the north-east of Medellín, the capital of the department.
Marignya is famous for its colonial architecture and traditional culture, and is known as the "cradle of Antioquian history". The economy is mainly agricultural, producing coffee, sugar cane, flowers and livestock. In recent years, ecotourism and handicrafts have been developed.
Visitors can visit historical sites such as the San Luis Bernabeu Church and the Municipal Park, and experience local festivals and traditional cuisine. It is easily accessible via the Medellín-Bogotá highway, and about an hour's drive from José María Córdoba International Airport.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
