Malatya is a city in the central Anatolian Plateau and the capital of Malatya Province in Turkey. It is known as the "Cherry Capital of the World", and its cherries have gained a global reputation due to its favorable climate and soil conditions. Located on the upper Euphrates River, the city has a well-developed agricultural industry and produces fruits such as apples and apricots in addition to cherries.
