Ligang is located in the northern part of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province of China, on the banks of the Gaoping River, and is at the junction of the Kaohsiung and Pingtung plains, and is known as the "Banana Kingdom". The banana industry flourished in the early days, leading to economic prosperity, and the area still retains a rich agricultural culture. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger.
