Kolonga, Tonga is a major town in the Pacific island nation of Tonga, located on the northeast coast of Tongatapu, about 20 kilometers from the capital city of Nukuʻalofa. As Tonga's cultural and historical town, Kolonga is known for its well-preserved traditional villages, royal relics and handicrafts, and is one of the birthplaces of Tonga's "megalithic culture", with centuries-old churches and ancient stone tombs.
