Tórshavn, the capital and largest city of the Faroe Islands, is situated on the eastern coast of the island of Streymoy in the North Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by mountains and a natural harbor. Founded in the 9th century, this historic city is one of the smallest capitals in the world and still retains a large number of colorful traditional Nordic wooden houses, while Tinganes, the old town, is the political and cultural birthplace of the Faroe Islands, with its old parliament and cobblestone streets that speak of a thousand years of self-governing tradition. As the economic center of the Faroe Islands, fishing and shipping are the mainstays, while the convenience of the modern city is combined with the beauty of untouched nature - the surrounding cliffs, waterfalls and coves attract tourists from all over the world, and the Ólavsøka festival in the summer is full of traditional music and folklore, making it a must-visit place to experience the unique culture of the Faroe Islands. Ólavsøka is a must-visit place to experience the unique Faroese culture.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
