Halba is the capital of the Akkar Governorate in northern Lebanon, located in the plains between the Lebanese mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, about 120 kilometers from the capital Beirut. As the administrative and commercial center of the region, Halba is known for its multiculturalism and rich history, with a predominantly Sunni Muslim population and a coexistence of Christian and other communities. The town's economy is predominantly agricultural, producing olives, citrus and grains, and it is an important distribution center for agricultural products from the surrounding mountainous regions. Haledale has retained its traditional Lebanese architecture, with the stone streets of the old town and remnants of the Ottoman period telling of a prosperous past. Despite the economic challenges, the area maintains a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal gateway to explore rural life in northern Lebanon.
Located in the northern part of Tianjin, Baodi District is in the core area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development, and has been the "thoroughfare to the east of Beijing" since ancient times, making it an important transportation hub connecting Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan. With the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity and Jingbin High Speed Railway running through the area, the city can reach the Beijing Vice-Center in 30 minutes by car and the center of Tianjin and Tangshan in one hour, forming a "half-hour commuting circle". Economically, Baodi focuses on high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, and biomedical industries, while relying on rich geothermal resources to create a "city of hot springs" and the Chaobai River Wetland Ecological Zone to inject ecological vitality into the city. As the northern growth pole of Tianjin, Baodi is positioning itself as the "Pearl of Beijing-Tianjin and Happy Baodi," accelerating the dissolution of non-capital functions and becoming an emerging hotspot for synergistic regional development.
