Kangle County is located in the south of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, China, in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of about 2,000 meters. It has a long history and was an important passage on the ancient Silk Road. It has a rich ethnic culture, dominated by Hui and Han Chinese. Kangle County has beautiful natural scenery, and the Lotus Mountain National Forest Park, famous for its unique Danxia landforms and forested landscapes, is a popular destination for eco-tourism. The local economy is mainly based on agriculture, with an abundance of Chinese herbal medicines and animal husbandry products, especially the "Kangle Cow" brand, which enjoys a high reputation.
