São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Yuhu is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, China, located in the middle reaches of the Xiangjiang River, and is one of the political, economic and cultural centers of Xiangtan. The district gets its name from the famous Rain Lake Park in the area, which is known for its natural landscape and human history.
With a long history, Yuhu District is an important birthplace of Hunan culture and boasts a number of cultural relics protection units, such as the Guan Sheng Temple and the Temple of Literature. The economy is dominated by industry, manufacturing and tourism, while focusing on ecological preservation. The Rainy Lake Park serves as the city's green lung, providing space for leisure and excursions.
Conveniently located near the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and highways, it connects to major cities in Hunan Province. Blending tradition and modernity, Rain Lake is an important destination for exploring the regional characteristics of Hunan.
