São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Wafangdian is a county-level city under the administration of Dalian City in Liaoning Province, located in the central and western part of Liaodong Peninsula, bordering the Bohai Sea, with a total area of 3,794 square kilometers and a population of about 1 million. As an important node of the old industrial base in Northeast China, Wafangdian's bearing manufacturing industry is well known throughout the country and is known as the "Bearing Capital of China".
Wafangdian's economy is dominated by industry, with bearings, machinery manufacturing, and food processing as its pillar industries, and it has a state-level economic and technological development zone. Meanwhile, Wafangdian is rich in agricultural and fishery products such as apples and sea cucumbers, and is the distribution center of the Liaonan region.
There are cultural relics such as the thousand-year-old Fuzu Ancient City and Yongfeng Pagoda, as well as natural landscapes such as Longmen Hot Springs and Xianbawan Seashore. The local opera and folk activities that integrate the Manchu and Han cultures are unique and attract a large number of tourists every year.
It is close to Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, with the Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway and Shenhai High Speed Railway running through the whole territory, which is a significant location advantage. With a coastline of 461 kilometers and several natural harbors, it is an important logistics hub in Liaodong Peninsula.
