São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Tongyu County is located in the northwestern part of Jilin Province, China, belonging to Baicheng City, and is situated in the transition zone between Songliao Plain and Horqin Grassland, with a total area of about 8,500 square kilometers. It is a key area for new energy development in Jilin Province, with agriculture as its main industry, producing corn and miscellaneous crops, and rich wind and solar energy resources. Tongyu has a unique natural landscape, including the Xianghai National Nature Reserve, famous for its wetland ecology and rare bird habitats, which attracts many eco-tourists. The climate is temperate continental monsoon with four distinct seasons. In terms of transportation, it is connected to neighboring cities through a network of roads and railroads. The economy is based on the pillars of agriculture, new energy and eco-tourism, and has continued to promote the development of green industries in recent years.
