São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Stockholm, the capital and largest city of Sweden, is known as the "Venice of the North" because it is situated on 14 islands connected by more than 70 bridges. The city is the political, economic and cultural center of Sweden and is known for its beautiful water features, historic architecture and modern design.
Stockholm was founded in the 13th century, and the old town preserves medieval streets and buildings such as the Stockholm Royal Palace. The city boasts numerous museums, including the Nobel Museum and the Vasa Museum, showcasing a rich cultural heritage.
As a Nordic technology and financial hub, Stockholm is home to the headquarters of many international companies and is known for its innovation and sustainability. It is also an important tourist destination in Scandinavia.
Praised for its high quality of life, clean environment and green spaces, Stockholm is an example of a livable city.
