São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the western part of China's Henan Province, Shanxian County is part of Sanmenxia City and is situated at the junction of Henan, Shaanxi and Jin provinces, making it an important gateway to the Central Plains. The county has a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period, and boasts a rich cultural heritage, such as the famous Bancheng Ancient Road and the Kongxiang Temple, among other monuments. Geographically, Shanxian is predominantly hilly and mountainous, with a temperate continental monsoon climate and four distinct seasons. The economy is based on agriculture and mining, with an abundance of apples and wheat, and rich in coal resources. In recent years, Shaanxi County has been actively developing its tourism industry to promote its historical, cultural and natural landscapes, attracting tourists to explore the depths of the Central Plains culture.
