São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
San Salvador is the capital and largest city of the Republic of El Salvador, located in the central part of El Salvador in Central America at the southeast foothills of the Ahuachapán Volcano Mountain, at an altitude of about 680 meters above sea level, and enjoys the name of "Spring City of Central America". As the country's political, economic and cultural center, San Salvador is the concentration of the country's major financial institutions, government agencies and corporate headquarters, industry to coffee processing, textiles, chemical industry is the main gateway to the world of El Salvador. Historically, the city was founded by Spanish colonizers in 1525 and has suffered from several earthquakes. The remaining buildings are a blend of colonial style and modern urbanism, with landmarks such as the Cathedral, the National Palace and the Museum of Anthropology. The city's cultural diversity and traditional festivals such as Holy Week, a unique blend of Mayan and Spanish traditions, entice visitors to explore Central America's unique history and modern dynamism.
