Overview of Sao Tome and Principe (note on "Java")

São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.

New Territories, Hong Kong, China

Located in the northern part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, the New Territories is one of the three major geographical regions of Hong Kong, covering an area of about 748 square kilometers, or nearly 70% of Hong Kong's total land area. As an integral part of Hong Kong, the New Territories encompasses a number of new towns such as Sha Tin, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long, as well as rural villages and nature reserves. The area is densely populated and combines modern urban facilities with traditional cultural landscapes, such as the famous Ping Shan Heritage Trail and the Mai Po Nature Reserve. The New Territories is also an important transportation hub and economic development area for Hong Kong, with cross-border control points connecting the Mainland and Hong Kong, such as Lok Ma Chau and Shenzhen Bay, located here. Its diverse ecological and cultural heritage makes it a popular choice for tourism and residence.
