São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China, South Lake is one of the sites of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which is of great historical significance. 1921, the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) closed on a cruise ship in South Lake, announcing the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and thus South Lake is known as the birthplace of the "Red Boat Spirit".
South Lake Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, known for its beautiful natural scenery and rich humanistic landscape. The Lake Island and the Smoke and Rain Building combine the elegance of the Jiangnan water town with the gravity of revolutionary history, attracting a large number of tourists and study groups every year.
South Lake is surrounded by convenient transportation, close to the center of Jiaxing, and only an hour's high-speed train ride from Shanghai, Hangzhou and other major cities. Local specialties such as Jiaxing rice dumplings and Nanhu Lingjiao are also popular among tourists.
