São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Muyebe (Muyinga) is an important city in northeastern Burundi, and is also the capital of Muyangara Province, which is located in the border area between Burundi and Tanzania, and is relatively remote geographically. The city has a high altitude and a tropical highland climate, which is mild throughout the year, with distinct rainy and dry seasons, suitable for agricultural development. The economy of Muyebe and the surrounding areas is mainly based on agriculture, and the residents mainly plant coffee, cotton, corn and other crops, which is one of the important distribution centers of agricultural products in Burundi. The population size of the city is small, and the local residents are mainly of Hutu and Tutsi ethnicity, and the common language is Kirundi, while French and English are also used as official languages. Muyebe retains the traditional African tribal culture, handicraft market and small bazaar are full of local characteristics, which is a window to understand the rural life of Burundi.
