São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Mhlaba is a district or settlement in Swaziland (now known as Eswatini), located in the eastern part of the country. Swaziland is a small landlocked country in southern Africa known for its rich traditional culture and natural beauty. Often associated with local communities and rural development, the Mliba area reflects the characteristics of Swaziland's agriculture-based economy, with the main crops including sugarcane, maize and cotton.
Mliba is situated in Swaziland's hilly terrain and has a mild climate suitable for agriculture. The area retains the traditional Swazi way of life with cultural events such as the Reed Dance Festival, which showcases the Kingdom's historical heritage. Mliba's proximity to major cities such as Mbabane and Manzini provides easy access to the economic centers of the country.
Economically, Mliba is dependent on agriculture and small and medium-sized enterprises, with some residents engaged in mining or tourism. The infrastructure is relatively simple and the pace of life is serene, typical of what one would expect to find in rural Swaziland. Overall, Mliba embodies Swaziland's community spirit and sustainable development efforts.
