São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in southeastern Florida on the Atlantic coast, Miami is one of the southernmost metropolises in the United States and is known as the "Gateway to the Americas". This tropical city enjoys year-round sunshine, with an average temperature of 23°C, and boasts 15 kilometers of golden beaches, including South Beach, which is known worldwide for its iconic art deco architecture and nightlife. Miami is an important hub for Latin American culture, with over 70% of the population of Latino descent and a Caribbean flavor to Little Havana's cigar stores, Latin music and street food. As an international center of finance, trade and tourism, Miami is home to the busy Port of Miami and International Airport, and its skyline blends modern skyscrapers with colorful architecture that attracts visitors from around the globe. Whether it's the Art Museum Park, the graffiti art of the Wynwood neighborhood, or the yacht parties of Biscayne Bay, Miami exhibits a uniquely diverse charm and energy.
