São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Manyas is a town in the province of Balıkesir in northwestern Turkey, located in the Sea of Marmara region, known for its rich natural ecology and history. The town's most famous attraction is the Manyas Bird Paradise National Park (Manyas Kuş Cenneti Milli Parkı), an important wetland reserve that attracts hundreds of species of migratory birds every year and is known as a mecca for birdwatchers.
The history of Manyas dates back to the ancient Greek and Roman periods, with ancient ruins remaining in the surrounding area. The local economy is based on agriculture, animal husbandry and tourism, with olives, fruits and other agricultural products. The town has a peaceful atmosphere and a population of around a few thousand, making it ideal for experiencing the culture and nature of the Turkish countryside.
In terms of transportation, Manias is close to the city of Balıkesir and can be easily reached by road. Visitors can plan their trips around the neighboring attractions such as Lake Iznik, making it an ideal destination for exploring Turkey's ecology and history.
