São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Maji is an important town in the People's State of the Southern Region of Ethiopia, located in the highlands of the southwestern part of the country, close to the border with South Sudan. It has a mild climate with an average annual temperature of about 20-25℃, which is suitable for agricultural development. Local residents make a living by planting coffee, maize, wheat and other crops, with coffee being an important economic pillar. Magee is a multi-ethnic settlement, where traditional ethnic cultures such as the Oromo and Diza mingle, preserving unique songs, dances, handicrafts and tribal customs. As a trading center for the surrounding area, the marketplace in Maji brings together local agricultural products and handicrafts, and is an important window into Ethiopia's diverse culture. Despite its relatively simple infrastructure, its natural beauty and simplicity attracts a small number of backpackers to explore.
