São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Bali County is located in the northwestern part of Shanxi Province of China, belonging to Xinzhou City, and is situated at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Mongolia, with an average elevation of about 1,400 meters, which is typical of the hilly landscape of the Loess Plateau. The area has a long history and has been a military town since ancient times. Historical and cultural landscapes such as the Great Wall Ruins of the Song Dynasty and the Bali Ancient City exist. The area is mainly agricultural, producing oats, potatoes and small grains, and is known as the "Granary of Shanxi". Bali also boasts unique natural scenery, including alpine meadows and primary secondary forests, making it an ideal destination for outdoor tourism and ecological investigation. The region has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons and a pleasantly cool summer, and has been actively developing rural tourism and specialty agricultural products processing industries in recent years.
