São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Houma is located in the southwestern part of Shanxi Province, China, under Linfen City, in the Fen River Basin at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Henan provinces. As an important transportation hub and logistics center in southern Jin, Houma is famous for the ancient Jin "Xintian" site, and is a national historical and cultural city. There are important archaeological discoveries such as the ruins of the palace of the State of Jin during the Spring and Autumn Period and the ruins of the copper casting workshop, which are known as the "birthplace of Jin culture".
Modern Houma is an important trade distribution center and light industry base in Shanxi Province, with a perfect railroad and highway transportation network. Local industries include textile, machinery manufacturing and agricultural products processing, while actively developing the cultural tourism industry to create a Jin culture-themed tourist destination. Houma has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons, and its main agricultural products include wheat, corn and cotton. The city has a high green coverage and was once awarded the title of "National Health City".
