São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Caracal is an important city in the county of Olt in southwestern Romania, located in the southern part of the Romanian Great Plain, about 55 kilometers from the county capital Slatina. The city has a long history, dating back to Roman times, and still retains a rich cultural heritage. As a regional economic center, Caracal has a strong presence in the machine building, textile and food processing industries, and is also an important transportation node connecting Bucharest to the western cities, with a well-developed road and rail network. The city is surrounded by rich agricultural resources, with an abundance of cereals and sunflowers, creating a synergistic economic pattern of industry and agriculture. Despite its small size, Caracal plays an indispensable role in the southwestern part of Romania, thanks to its unique geographical location and industrial base.
