São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, located in the north of the North Island, with a population of about 1.6 million people, accounting for nearly one-third of the country's population. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and blessed with many natural harbors such as the Waitomo Islands, the city is known as the "City of a Thousand Sails" and has one of the highest per capita densities of sailboats in the world. Auckland is surrounded by volcanic landscapes such as Mount Eden and Mount Rangitoto, combining urban prosperity with natural wilderness. As a multicultural melting pot, Maori, European and Asian cultures mingle here, forming a unique vitality. Economically, Auckland is New Zealand's center of trade, finance and education, home to renowned institutions such as the University of Auckland, and with a temperate maritime climate and year-round outdoor activities, it's the ideal gateway to explore New Zealand.
