São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Araure is an important city in the state of Lara, Venezuela, located in the west-central part of the country in the fertile plains, about 300 kilometers from the capital, Caracas. As one of the core cities in the state of Lara, Araure is known for its agricultural and commercial activities. The surrounding area is rich in crops such as sugarcane, corn, and coffee, making it an important hub for the processing and trade of Venezuelan agricultural products. The city has a well-developed infrastructure, including a highway network connecting it to major neighboring cities, and is economically vibrant. In addition, Araulé retains some of its colonial-era historical buildings, such as the Church of San Román, and offers a blend of traditional and modern cityscapes that attracts visitors to explore. The local culture is passionate and exuberant, with a wealth of folklore festivals organized each year to showcase Venezuela's unique regional identity.
