Located in the southwest of Hunan Province, China, Huitong County is part of Huaihua City and is situated at the Hunan-Guizhou border, making it an important ecological and cultural county in Hunan Province. The area is characterized by Dong and other minority cultures, with rich intangible cultural heritage and traditional village landscapes. With beautiful natural scenery and high forest coverage, it has a subtropical monsoon climate and is rich in fir trees, tea and Chinese herbs.
The ancient village of High Chair and the former residence of Suyu are famous attractions in Huitong County, attracting many tourists. The economy is based on agriculture and tourism, and the transportation is convenient, with the Zhiliu Railway and Baomao Expressway running through the whole area. Huitong County is actively developing green industries and promoting rural revitalization.
