Shelui is a small town in the Mbeya Region of southern Tanzania, located in the inland area near the Tanzanian-Zambian border, in the southern hemisphere at high altitude, with a mild and pleasant climate. The local economy is based on agriculture, and the residents are mostly engaged in the cultivation of maize, wheat, coffee and other crops and a small amount of animal husbandry, which is one of the distribution centers for agricultural products in the surrounding rural areas. Although small in size, Cherui has become a transportation hub and commercial service center in the region due to the road network connecting the surrounding villages.
