Dongming County is located in the southwestern part of Shandong Province, China, belonging to Heze City, and is situated at the junction of Lu and Henan provinces, along the Yellow River. It has a total area of 1,370 square kilometers and a population of about 850,000 people. The county is agriculturally based, producing wheat, corn and cotton, and is also an important production area for the Zhongyuan oil field and has a well-developed energy industry.
Dongming has a long history and is the hometown of the ancient thinker Zhuangzi, with a deep cultural heritage.
