Djerba, Tunisia's largest island and known as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean", is located in the southern part of the Gulf of Tunis and is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Famous for its long stretches of white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters and pleasant climate, the island is a popular vacation destination for European tourists. The island is a blend of Arab, Berber and Mediterranean cultures, with its iconic blue-domed mosques, ancient synagogues and traditional craft markets. Visitors can spend time relaxing on the beach, exploring charming fishing villages and savoring authentic Tunisian cuisine such as couscous and seafood platters. The island of Djerba is an ideal destination for both relaxation and cultural discovery, thanks not only to its natural beauty, but also to its warm and welcoming cultural atmosphere.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
