Jahau (Ziguinchor) is an important city in southwestern Senegal, located on the banks of the Casamance River, about 450 kilometers from the capital, Dakar. As the capital of the Casamance region, Ziguinchor is one of Senegal's major economic, cultural and transportation hubs.
