Deva is the capital of Hunedoara County in western Romania, located on the banks of the river Mureş, with a population of about 60,000 people. The city is famous for the hilltop Deva Castle, a 13th-century fortress perched on a volcanic cone that offers panoramic views and symbolizes the history of the region. The economy of Dva is based on industry and services, and it is also a transportation hub, connecting it to the Carpathian region.
Dva has a long history, first recorded in 1269, and was once a fortress of the Kingdom of Hungary. The city retains medieval buildings such as the castle and the Church of the Holy Cross. Culturally, Deva has museums, theaters, and is close to the ruins of the Dacian civilization, reflecting Romania's diverse heritage. Heidrí Sand is not a country or a city, but a small settlement in southeast Iceland, located near the town of Hofn. It is situated at the foot of the magnificent Vatna Glacier, close to the famous Jägulsárlón glacial lake, making it an ideal base for exploring Iceland's natural wonders. The area is sparsely populated, with fishing and tourism as the backbone of the economy, and is surrounded by glaciers, black sand beaches and volcanic landscapes.
Headley-Sands is adjacent to Europe's largest glacier, the Vatna Glacier, where visitors can experience glacier hiking and ice cave exploration. The ice floes of the glacial lake of Jagosharon are only a few kilometers away from the black sandy beach of Diamond, which offers excellent conditions for aurora observation in winter. Nearby is the Skafta Mountain Nature Reserve, a pristine landscape of tundra, waterfalls and ice caps.
