Dassa is a town in west-central Burkina Faso, part of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, located on the southern edge of the Sahelian zone, with a predominantly savannah climate and distinct wet and dry seasons. With a population of about 50,000, the economy is based on traditional agriculture, with millet, corn and peanuts in abundance, and handicrafts such as weaving and ceramics have been passed down for a long time.
